The RDS3002-T1 is a FM RDS receiver module capable of receiving RDS decoded information off of FM broadcast sub-carrier. It contains a highly integrated FM receiver/RDS decoder chip, 8 bit microcontroller, and tunable antenna w/LNA. The RDS3002-T1 is very compact, thus lending itself to a variety of embedded applications. The unit is a self-contained, low power, microcontroller based module that, via serial interface from the host system, receives and filters traffic data to be used in navigation type applications using Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network.
PowerQ’s proprietary embedded ferrite antenna design eliminates the requirement for an external antenna.
Compatible for use with Clear Channel’s Real Time Traffic service (available since Jan 2005). See www.realtimetraffic.net for a coverage map and additional information.
Compatible with the RDS-TMC standard www.tmcforum.com
The RDS3002-T1 is current shipping in large quantities, and is being sold to a number of large retail distributors.
Custom versions are available with quick turnaround.
Contact PowerQ for additional technical information and a quote specific for your application.

Weight: Weight of the antenna is less than 5 pounds with a projected target weight of 3 pounds.
Mounting of the antenna is by a set of 3, captive threaded inserts located in the bottom face of the base of the antenna. The antenna may be mounted on a bracket or other surface. Antenna
Gain: The antenna gain is dependent on band segment. Measured gain is essentially omni directional in horizontal azimuth coverage. Some squishing of the pattern is evident in various band segments with the expected result of some gain over isotropic in some band areas. Gain expected is as follows:

The PQ-SG5000 is a compact, programmable, frequency synthesizer card.
The PQ-SG5000 provides an ideal RF signal generation front end for specific end user applications. Frequencies are programmable via standard USB interface. The programmed frequencies and modulation characteristics are stored in non-volatile memory, such that the next power on sequence automatically loads and starts the output sequence with no additional user intervention
Open collector output drivers provided to control output RF power amplifiers with enable/disable inputs. The electrical interfaces have been kept to a minimum to enable ease of installation. Built-in test logic provides a simple GO/NO-GO confidence mechanism during operation.
A simple graphical user interface (GUI) is provided to allow quick downloading of factory and/or custom profiles.
